Biltwell Inc. Mako Tail Light

This item fits:
Custom Applications

Construction: Investment-cast aluminum light housing; extra thick injection-molded polycarbonate plastic lens with 5-40 Phillips head mounting screws; die-cut rubber base gasket and internal LED spacer gasket; custom 15-element LED board with two phases (brake light and running light) and three wires (ground, brake and running lights); 1/4-20 hex bolts for mounting through the underside of rear fender.

Fitment: Rising like a Mako shark on the back of a motorcycle fender, our first taillight looks like the dorsal fin on the ocean predator of the same name. The Biltwell Mako taillight is for custom applications only, and will not retrofit to any stock motorcycle without several hours of easy drilling, wiring and soldering. If you can change a light bulb, you can ditch the giant taillight on your stock hog to make room for this tidy little taillight.

Details: The Mako is approximately five-eighths the scale of the classic Sparto taillight that inspired it. The outside diameter of the red taillight lens is 1-5/8 inches, so it’s small. When illuminated its LED is easily visible at 100 meters in pitch darkness, but due to its small size it may not pass safety inspection in your state or country of registration. This is a custom component for handcrafted motorcycles, so the DOT-worthiness of such vehicles is always dubious. If you’re looking for laser brightness from outer space, this isn’t your taillight.

A FORMER PREMIER LEAGUE football star has denied dangerous driving after a three-car crash in Nottinghamshire which left another motorist with a fractured elbow. Sheffield United striker Marlon King is alleged to have committed the offence on his 33rd birthday while driving a Porsche Panamera on the A46. King, who will stand trial next March, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his not guilty plea during a brief hearing at Nottingham Crown Court.

Lamborghini Estoque latest

Tue, 30 Sep 2008

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 30 September 2008 14:13 'A new chapter in the history of Lamborghini' – that's the claim accompanying the latest teaser shot of Lamborghini's Paris motor show concept car. Officially the new concept will be shown for the first time on the evening of the Paris show, but details of the car have already started to leak out onto the internet. The concept is apparently a four-door super-saloon called Estoque, after the short sword matadors use to kill the bull at the end of a bullfight.

Lagonda SUV – with antimacassar and cushions!

Thu, 10 Dec 2009

New pictures of the Lagonda SUV Concept have been published by Aston Martin Aston Martin are in the process of attempting to revive the Lagonda marque, and had a bash at the Geneva Motor Show this year with a gargantuan Lagonda SUV based on the Mercedes GL. But it wasn’t well received, which considering how far away it was from how a Lagonda should be is no big surprise. It seemed as if Aston Martin had taken the hint on the Lagonda Concept as it didn’t stay the course at Geneva but was pulled from the AM stand and shipped back to Gaydon.
