Mitsubishi Global Small Concept (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show
Wed, 19 Jan 2011Mitsubishi will show this new Global Small Concept car at the 2011 Geneva motor show this spring. It's one of 12 vehicles on show at the Mitsubishi stand and previews the Japanese car maker's vision for future small cars. The Global Small Concept in fact forms the basis for a new supermini coming in March 2012.
Coventry University degree show 2011
Tue, 21 Jun 2011Coventry University recently held its annual degree show, showcasing the works of more than 100 graduating students from the school's five different design disciplines: Automotive, Product, Vehicle, Transport and Boat Design. This year's show took place over two floors and two wings of the School of Art and Design's Maurice Foss building, adjacent to the famed Bugatti building, which houses the programs' digitizing and modeling laboratory. And with all the varied design disciplines mixed together, walking around the entire exhibition took rather a lot of time.
Volvo S60 saloon (2010) unveiled
Tue, 10 Nov 2009This is the new Volvo S60, and it’s the latest attempt by the Swedish safety-mongers to snatch a share of the small executive saloon market that’s dominated by the 3-series, A4 and C-class. Volvo has only released two exterior photos of the new S60 – we’ll see the interior closer to the car’s Geneva motor show unveil in March 2010 – as it wants to highlight the new car’s design. Under now-departed design chief Steve Mattin, the S60 has been created as the car that will start the differentiation of Volvo design and break the one-size-fits-all focus.
