Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 leaked
Mon, 29 Jun 2009Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 If you know anything at all about Lamborghini’s, it won’t take too long to work out that this will be a 550hp V10, but with 2-wheel drive instead of the 4-wheel drive we ‘ve got used to in recent years. So think of this as a hardcore drivers Gallardo – a Superleggera. Dropping the 4WD will shed a chunk of weight, and change the dynamic of the car from the LP560-4.
New Jaguar XJR will see the end of the XJ SuperSport
Thu, 28 Mar 2013The launch of the new 2013 Jaguar XJR at the New York Auto Show this week heralds the end of the line for Jaguar’s other Supercharged V8 XJ – the SuperSport. With a much more fulsome 542bhp, some very ‘Jaguar’ go-faster bits, some proper fettling to make the steering, gearbox and suspension focus more on the drive without making a mess of the ride and altogether more dynamism in prospect than the SuperSport, we’d assumed Jaguar were making the XJR the performance pinnacle of the XJ range and leaving the SuperSport in place as the ‘luxury’ alternative. With that thought in mind we’d expected to see Jaguar push the price of the new XJR up towards the XJ Ultimate (which costs £121,000), so count us gobsmacked when Jaguar revealed the new XJR will cost from £92,335 – just £500 more than the SuperSport.
Ford Ka (2009) unveiled: first photos
Fri, 01 Aug 2008By Ben Pulman and Ben Barry First Official Pictures 01 August 2008 00:01 Ford’s Ka – the cheeky, lovable and classless city car – is back. Still called Ka, the new model will make its show debut at Paris in autumn 2008, before going on sale in the UK by the end of the year. The underpinnings are, of course, from the Fiat 500, but Blue Oval engineers have tweaked the chassis to give the Ka a proper Ford feel, they say.
