or the configured timer to prevent the vehicle battery from discharge.

Multi-booting

If you turn on the Multi-Boot button, the black box

will keep supplied with power even if the ignition of the vehicle is turned off,

until the timer setting cuts off the power.

Timer Cut-off Settings

If the timer is configured, the product supplies power to the vehicle driver recorder until the configured time has passed, and then cuts the power. In addition, the timer function only works when the engine is stopped and automatically stops if the engine is started.

* Even if the timer is configured and the configured time has not elapsed, the power is cut if the voltage drops below the configured voltage.

Pioneer App Radio officially unveiled

Fri, 27 May 2011

That does sound a lot like what Mini Connected and, in a more platform-agnostic sense, Ford Sync are doing. Pioneer said it couldn't speak to the similarity of those systems, but Ted Cardenas, director of marketing for Pioneer's car-electronics division, briefed us on installation of the device and what Pioneer is doing to minimize driver distraction.

With either kit, horsepower increases by 20 hp, to 320 hp, on both models, and torque jumps to 332 lb-ft for models equipped with automatic transmission.

Saab 'developing diesel hybrids' to rival PSA's

Mon, 01 Nov 2010

Saab has been caught testing a 9-3 with a diesel hybrid engine, according to press reports in Sweden. It seems that France's PSA won't have the diesel-hybrid market all to itself. A reporter from Automobil magazine spotted a 9-3 prototype refuelling at a petrol station in Trollhattan as he returned a test car to the factory.
