Brand new set of Blackworks Racing SS Coilovers.
PN:  BWSS-HD14
Applications:  Honda Civic 2006-2009.

Manufacture description listed below:
  • The New BWR SS Coilover feature's a wide range of height adjustments without changing the spring compression and sacrificing the shock stroke. Traditional Coilovers requires the movement of the spring perch to determine the ride height, causing a reduction in suspension travel and induce coil spring binding. The bottom shock fork / connector is threaded to allow height adjustments to each drivers need without having to shorten the suspension travel by maintaining the original spring perch location. With this function, each driver can lower the center of gravity to achieve better handling, without sacrificing ride quality.
  • BWR SS TYPE SUSPENSION SPECS:
  • SS provides height adjustments, damping force not adjustable suspension on the SS version (for dampning force check out the GT series.). Alloy forged aluminum correspondent with anodized finish brackets, spring seats and upper mounts (Some BWR suspension's DO NOT! come with upper mounts.)

GM ride-and-drive event puts interns behind the wheel

Fri, 22 Jul 2011

Interns here at AutoWeek are fortunate enough to be in and out of all sorts of cars, from the little Fiat 500 to the phenomenal Lexus LFA. But rarely do we get our own event like the Intern Ride and Drive hosted by General Motors in downtown Detroit on Friday. The event, set up and run by GM's own interns, involved summer help from local broadcast-media outlets, newspapers and many Detroit-area automotive publications.

Consumer Reports slams new Honda Civic

Tue, 02 Aug 2011

Honda Motor Co., still struggling with supply shortages of the redesigned 2012 Civic after the March earthquake in Japan, took a slap in the face today when Consumer Reports rated the new Civic "too low to be recommended." The 2012 Honda Civic dropped 17 points, from a very-good score of 78 to a mediocre 61, in the latest Consumer Reports road test of small cars. Previous Honda Civic models have often been Consumer Reports' highest rated small sedans, as well as Top Picks in five of the past 10 years. But the redesigned model was slammed for the cheapness of its interior, poor ride quality, long stopping distances and loud interior noise.

Porsche threatens to pull Boxster production from Magna

Fri, 25 Sep 2009

Porsche is considering canceling an existing contract with Magna to build the next-generation Boxster and Cayman in Austria starting in 2013 and may instead move production to Karmann in Germany. The move would be aimed at protecting Porsche's closely guarded engineering and production cost secrets for its upcoming entry-level roadster and coupe. Porsche insiders say plans established under former boss Wendelin Weideking to build the Boxster and the Cayman at Magna's Graz factory in Austria are now being heavily reviewed following the Canadian/Austrian company's bid to take control of financially embattled Opel from General Motors.
