In order for this remote control to work, you must install the IR sensor (or "eye") that connects to the back of your receiver. However, some receivers that come with remote controls may work without installing the IR sensor. This kit includes pictoral instructions for installing this remote control and IR sensor into a Lotus Elise or Lotus Exige. The instructions show the kit installed in a 2005 Lotus Elise with a Blaupunkt Acapulco MP54. The 2005 and 2006 Lotus Elise and 2006 Lotus Exige sold in the U.S. have gone through numerous Blaupunkt radio variations including the Acapulco MP54, Los Angeles MP72, Heidelberg CD54, Venice Beach, and more, depending on when the car was built and if the Touring Pack was purchased.
