Up for auction is a new in box, never been opened or installed Blink HQ Home Charging station for an electric vehicle.  I joined the Ecotality wait list for this charging station when it was first announced in May.  Unfortunately by the time it arrived, we had moved out of our home and into a rental where I cannot install this unit.  Rather than letting it sit around and collect dust, I figured it would be better to send it off to a new home.  I also know these are backordered, so some folks may want one in a hurry.  Best of luck bidding!

Blink HQ, a new family of EV charging products for the home, gives you complete range confidence. Only Blink HQ provides a full charge every morning and the connection to Blink Network’s over 4,000 public chargers.

How can you get a charge from your home EVSE when you’re not even there?

The new Blink HQ line of products offers consumers:

• Delayed start time options to optimize charging rates
• 18 foot cable with indoor/outdoor rating for flexible placement options
• The ability to deliver a quick, full charge at a rate almost four times faster than a Level 1 charger

The Blink HQ line of home EV chargers start at an MSRP of just $699.99

The Pontiac G8 may get a new life as the Chevrolet Caprice. General Motors is studying the feasibility of reusing the rear-wheel-drive performance sedan for law enforcement and the general public, vice chairman Bob Lutz said in an online chat Monday. “The G8 has finally been discovered by a broader percentage of the buying public,” Lutz said on GM's FastLane blog.

Don't fear Ford's 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine

Wed, 15 Aug 2012

One liter, three cylinders—that's the genetic makeup of Ford's smallest EcoBoost engine yet. And it's coming to the United States. A unit of measurement more suitable for water, olive oil or beer will be powering a Ford on U.S.
