‘Why We Drive’ documentary looking for sponsors

Everyone who has a Netflix account, or uses a friend’s Netflix password, knows the documentary section is where all the action is. The only thing we’d ask for is a few more driving docs. And we hope that “Why We Drive” will enter the fray eventually, but SBR Productions needs a little help from enthusiasts.
“Why We Drive” is a feature-length documentary highlighting the emotional and personal relationships that exist between a car and its driver, as well as the motivations behind the people who race as a sport, hobby or profession. The production company started an Indiegogo campaign to raise the $45,000 it needs to complete the film.
They sent us out this 3-minute sizzle reel today, which had us taking out our wallets.
Much of the doc was filmed in Wisconsin at the legendary Elkhart Lake racetrack. The film follows a track-day driver feeding his passion, and it features two hero cars: a 1984 Porsche 911 and a 911 GT3 Cup car.
According to the production team, the film doesn’t just focus on the action at the track; it also digs into the characters who love the sport. It features Tom Wallace of Corvette Racing, Andy Pilgrim of Cadillac Racing, author Ross Bentley, former Indy Car driver James Clay of Bimmerworld Racing and others.
