1933 Plymouth Coupe set for Scottsdale auction
Tue, 07 Dec 2010A 1933 Plymouth Coupe Street Rod will cross the block at the Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction, Jan. 19-23, 2011.
Custom-built by Bob K's Classic Restorations in Spirit Lake, Iowa, this street rod has more than $100,000 invested into it.
With its original serial-number tag in its original place, the coupe still wears its original grille shell cover and lady of speed ornament–although this time around, they've been show-chromed.
One of the 1933 Plymouth's major highlights is its engine. Starting out as a 350 Ramjet 350-hp GM Performance V8, the engine's cam shaft was changed to a GM 480 Hot Shot Roller Cam. The coupe now achieves 410 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque.
Other features include a performance 4L60E automatic overdrive and an in-tank electric fuel pump by Rock Valley Tires.
