1965 Maserati 3500 GT heads to Russo and Steele auction

A 1965 Maserati 3500 GT will cross the block at the Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., Jan. 19-23, 2011.

The vehicle is one of more than 2,000 Maserati 3500 GT models produced from 1955 through 1966.

Considering that Maserati produced fewer than 140 vehicles in the 10 years prior, it wouldn't be farfetched to say that the 3500 GT was instrumental in Maserati's success.

This particular model has operable side windows and was recently refinished, color-sanded and buffed.
