BMW X3 M Sport Package - on sale Spring 2011

BMW has taken the wraps off a bit of butchness for the 2011 BMW X3 with the reveal of the M Sports Package. Which won’t surprise regular readers much as we reported on the 2011 BMW X3 M Sports Package as far back as July. Still, it’s nice that BMW has got round to making it official.

On offer with the X3 M Sports Package is the usual raft of cosmetic tweaks and fiddles, although sadly there are no power changes. However, the X3 Sports Package does come with sports suspension to sharpen the handling which has been tweaked to suit the 18″ M Sport alloys.

Cosmetically the Sports Package gives new bumpers front and back, a set of side skirts and a roof spoiler. Extra titivation on the exterior includes high-gloss shadow trim for the side windows and roof rails and chrome tailpipes. There are also options on bigger wheels.

The interior also benefits from the M Sports Package with Sports seats with part leather, brushed ali trim, stainless steel inserts on the sills, leather M Steering wheel with multi-functions and the usual ‘M’ logos dotted around the place.

It’s all very ‘M’, but if you want to ‘Sportify’ your X3 wouldn’t you be better off with a 320i M Sport Touring instead?
