2011 Ford Focus Price revealed
Wed, 15 Dec 2010The 2011 Ford Focus starts at £15,995
We’ve had lots of news on the 2011 Ford Focus this year, from the initial reveal of the 2011 Focus at Detroit in January to the preview of the new Focus ST at Frankfurt in September. But one thing that has been missing is prices and specifications for the new Focus.
But your life should now be complete with the release today of the prices and specs for the new Focus in time for when it starts to hit the roads in March.
All models in the new Focus range will get Ford’s Torque Steering (a sort of alternative revoknuckle – better grip and less torque steer), Bluetooth and USB, voice control, DAB and a plethora of airbags.
Starting point for the 2011 Focus is the 1.6-litre, 104bhp petrol Edge at £15,995 to which you can add £1,000 if you’d prefer the 1.6 litre diesel version.
First notch up the trim ladder from the entry-level Edge is the Zetec. The Focus Zetec adds 16″ alloys, heated windscreen (a joy in frosty weather – they should be standard on every car), sports seats, front fogs and leather steering wheel at a cost of £1,000 over the Edge.
Next up is Titanium trim with keyless start, auto lights and wipers, Climate, Cruise and hill start and costs from £18,745 for the 123bhp 1.6 litre petrol. Top of the range Titanium X adds part leather, 17″ alloys, LEDs, bi-xenons, electric seats and parking sensors and starts at £21,245 for the 148bhp EcoBoost.
Option packs will offer Low Speed Safety System, Lane Keeping Aid and Ford’s Blind Spot Information System. Those choosing Sony DAB Navigation will also get a rear-view camera.
Deliveries start in March 2011 and the entry price – when you allow for the jump in VAT in January – has gone up by around £500.
Prices are up a bit, but there’s better specs too.
