2012 Audi A6 Allroad UK price announced

Just days after the reveal of the new A6 Allroad, Audi has announced that the 2012 A6 Allroad will start at £43,145.

In the midst of the reveals at the Detroit Auto Show last week, Audi revealed the 2012 A6 Allroad in Germany, and a decent-looking Allroad it is too.

Unlike previous iterations of the A6 Allroad, the 2012 A6 Allroad looks almost as sleek and appealing as the regular A6 Avant, despite its butch plastic cladding and skid plates. And it’s not quite as expensive as we’d feared, with the entry-level A6 Allroad costing from £43,145.

Just as a recap, the 2012 A6 Allroad comes with a choice of two 3.0 litre V6 diesel engines initially (the 3.0 litre with 309 bhp comes later) with either 201bhp or 242bhp. The petrol option is the 3.0 litre V6 TFSI which can get to 62mph in 5.9 seconds and averages 32mpg.

Whichever model you choose, adaptive air suspension comes as standard to lower the A6 Allroad when cruising and raise it when you hot some rough stuff. There’s lots of clever stuff on offer too like internet access, lane assist, park assist and Audi’s high-end MMI with hard-drive Nav and touchpad operation.

Order book for the 2012 Audi A6 Allroad opens in the UK from next month, with first deliveries expected in the  Spring.
