Freddy and Adam and their 2012 BMW 1-Series

The 2012 BMW 1-Series made its debut over the weekend, with lots of details on the thoroughly refreshed, higher quality and bigger BMW 1 Series.

Not only did we get details on the new 1-Series but we got plenty of 2012 1-Series photos. And by plenty, we do mean plenty – over 100.

All of which means that any potential 1-Series buyer perusing Cars UK (or anywhere else, for those with less taste) will have lots of information at the end of their mouse to help them decide if a trip to the local BMW dealers is called for.

But really, just photos and some specs isn’t enough, especially as we can’t give any real feedback until BMW has sent us a new 1-Series to review. So BMW has found themselves a couple of likely lads and built a sales pitch round them.

Meet Freddy and Adam, a pair of Brit brothers who both have a penchant for the BMW 1-Series.

But Freddy and Adam, despite being brothers, have very different tastes. Freddy loves the new Sport trim in the 1-Series, but Adam prefers the subtlety of the contrasting tones in the new ‘Urban’ trim. Freddy is an actor, and loves the girls. Adam works with architects, and doesn’t.

We get the feeling that if this were 1970s instead of 2011 BMW would had one playing rugby and the other doing a John Inman impression to make their point. That’s the script. Thankfully, it’s not as awful as it sounds.

And the new 2012 BMW 1-Series looks rather good.
