The 2012 SEAT Exeo & Exeo Estate arrive in UK showrooms

The 2012 SEAT Exeo saloon and Exeo ST Estate have had a small facelift – which debuted at Frankfurt – and have now arrived in SEAT UK showrooms.

It’s hard to get too excited about the facelift for the 2012 SEAT Exeo – or even call it a facelift – so small are the changes. But changes there have been and SEAT are now filling up their showrooms with the 2012 version of the Exeo – basically a last generation Audi A4 – ready for punters who must have the latest model.

Prices for the 2012 Exeo start at £19,480 for the entry-level saloon which gets the 118bhp 2.0 litre diesel, but if you’ve got a bit more change to spare you can opt for the 141bhp or 168bhp version of the same 2.0 litre turbo diesel. If petrol floats your boat then there’s a 2.0 litre TFSI turbo with a healthier 208bhp.

SEAT are threatening a new Ecomotive version of the Exeo for ‘Later this year’ which will get stop-start and and emissions below 120g/km. Apart from that, it will get the same minuscule revisions the 2012 Exeo range gets, which means a few tweaks to the nose with Bi-xenons and LED running lights (but only if you opt for the Sport), new alloys and the most modest of interior tweaks to the steering wheel and revised upholstery.

There are much better cars in the SEAT range than the Exeo. But it’s not bad value if you want a cheap (old) A4.
