Saab 9-5 SportCombi - Debuts at Geneva

It’s good to see Saab suddenly bursting in to life. We’re sure Saab don’t see it that way, having no doubt slaved away for the last year to get business back to some sense of normality after the GM sale debacle, but from outside that’s how it seems.

Still, the flurry of activity heading in to Geneva is good to see. There’s the new Saab Concept, the refreshed Saab 9-3 and the ‘Independence Day’ Saab 9-3 Convertible. And today we learn that Victor Muller has divested himself of supercar burdens by selling Spyker to CPP.

Yet despite all these Saab-shaped treats, one of the things we’re most looking forward too at Geneva is the Saab 9-5 SportCombi. A Saab estate just seems right. It has the right vibe. It feels cool and competent; practical yet stylish. An architect on wheels.
