2013 Honda CR-Z Facelift
Sun, 16 Sep 2012The Honda CR-Z – Honda’s ‘Sporty’ hybrid – is getting a bit of a facelift for 2013 and will debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
It’s more than two years since the Honda CR-Z Hybrid arrived in the UK as the ‘sporty’ face of the Honda Insight, so Honda has decided it’s time for a bit of a facelift.
But actually, the styling tweaks play second fiddle to the changes Honda are making under the bonnet, where they’ve upped the output of the 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine and electric motor from a combined 122bhp in the current model to…more. But Honda aren’t yet saying how much more.
We’re also not entirely sure what Honda has done to tweak the styling of the CR-Z, as they’re not telling us. From the single photo we’ve got (above) the grill does seem to have been changed a bit, and Honda has probably had a play with the back bumper and some slightly changed lights – the usual facelift fodder.
Let’s hope the extra power Honda says they have given the CR-Z is not as modest as the changes they appear to have wrought to its cosmetics.
All will be revealed on the facelifted Honda CR-Z at the Paris Motor Show.
