2013 Mercedes E Class Saloon & Estate price from £32,400

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Mercedes has revealed that the 2013 E Class saloon will start at £32,400 and the E Class Estate from 34,310. The E63 AMG costs from £73,720.

In fact, with everything from lights to bumpers, grills to interior and smoother haunches and a big crease line down the side, Mercedes could almost have claimed the new E Class to be a new car rather than just a mid-life facelift for the current E Class.

The new E Class also means a simplified trim range, with just SE and AMG Sport trim levels on offer (apart from the range topping E63 AMG saloon and estate), but more equipment too. So that means a new price structure for the new E Class and new specs too.

The E Class SE comes with a choice of three diesel engines - E 220 CDI, E 250 CDI and E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID – and two petrol engines – E200 and E250 (although you can only have the E200 as a saloon). All the new E Class come with the 7G-Tronic Plus auto ‘box as standard except the E220 CDI which gets a six-speed manual (7G-Tronic Plus costs and extra £1,520).

Standard kit – £4,000 more kit than the old SE spec – includes 17″ alloys, the new Mercedes Sports grill, part LED headlights, Artico (fake) leather, COMAND, DAB and Active Park Assist and costs from £32,400 for the E 220 CDI SE rising to £39,530 for the E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid SE.

The E Class AMG Sport – now with £3,000 of extra equipment over the the old E Class Sport – gets 18″ AMG alloys, Sports seats with fake leather and Dinamica centre section and costs from £34,895 for the E 220 CDI AMG Sport rising to £37,620 for the E250 AMG Sport.

At the top of the E Class range sits the E 63 AMG which costs £73,720 for the saloon and £75,510 for the Estate.

First UK deliveries of the 2013 Mercedes E Class are expected in March, and Mercedes are offering a range of finace deals with the E 220 CDI saloon costing from £319 a month and the E63 AMG from £619.
