2013 Range Rover: Configurator live & new video
Sat, 08 Sep 2012The online configurator for the new Range Rover has gone live, and we have the first official video too.
This week saw the reveal of full details on the 2013 Range Rover, and it’s certainly looking set to move the Range Rover to a new level, ten years after the last model arrived.
Now we have online a 2013 Range Rover configurator, allowing you to explore all the options available at launch for the new RR. Interestingly, the UK Range Rover Configurator doesn’t give yo a proper opportunity to build a car, and nor does it give option prices, whereas the US Range Rover Configurator does let you view the car as you build it.
Still, the UK one does give lots of detail, such as the retention of the model range names – Range Rover Vogue, Range Rover Vogue SE and Range Rover Autobiography – and that you can have even the new 3.0 litre diesel in Autobiography trim (UK only – the US gets Range Rover, HSE, Supercharged and Autobiography)
The trim options start at £71,295 for the Vogue, £77,895 for the Vogue SE and £87,895 for the Autobiography, all with the 3.0 litre diesel engine, but there’s plenty of scope to spend tens of thousands with the plethora of options on offer from 22″ alloys to rear seat entertainment by way of a huge range of interior seat and leather finishes (although, oddly, no two tone leather and no four seat option as yet.
We also get confirmation on performance and economy, with the 3.0 litre diesel doing 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds and 37.7mpg, the 4.4 litre V8 Diesel 0-62mph in and 6.9 seconds and 32.5mpg, and the 5.0 litre V8 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds and 20.5mpg.
It’s a great way to waste time, but before you do have a look at Land Rover’s first official 2013 Range Rover video (below) and check out photos of the new Range Rover too.
