2013 Renault Clio: Price & Specification revealed

The new 2013 Renault Clio 4 arrived officially at the Paris Motor Show and we now have full details of price and specification ahead of the on sale date.

Renault say the new Clio is better to own and better to drive than any Clio before. It’s wider and longer, lower and lighter with only five doors on offer starting at a lower price than before, but with much more equipment in the price. And the new Clio is more upmarket.

Even the entry-level model – the Clio Expression 1.2 16V 75 – comes with Bluetooth and USB, ESC, Hill Start (for when you really can’t use your left foot), Cruise, daytime running lights, electric windows and mirrors, curtain airbags and Keyless. A good spec for an entry-level Clio.

Moving up from the Expression spec to Expression+ gives you 16″ alloys, AirCon, fog lights and a much bigger choice of engines - 1.2 16V 75, TCe 90 Stop&Start, dCi 90 Stop&Start, TCe 90 ECO and dCi 90 ECO. The cheapest Clio expression+ costs £11,995 and the most expensive – the Clio dCi 90 ECo – costs a still not unreasonable £14,345.

Dynamique MediaNav spec adds in auto lights and wipers, a 7″ touchscreen MediaNav setup and gloss black exterior touches with chrome inserts for a more sport take on the Clio with engine options the same as the Expression+. Prices start at £12,995 up to £15,435.

Top of the heap Clio Dynamique S MediNav gets the choie of just the TCe 90 Stop & Start (£14,995) and the dCi 90 Stop&Start (£16.095) and adds in 17″ alloys chrome widow surrounds, Climate, folding mirrors and rear pareking sensors.

But if you think the list prices are the price Renault want you to pay, think again. There’s a wide range of optional extras from R-Link (integrated tablet with Wi-Fi), Panoramic Roof, Convenience Pack, and a whole heap of other packs including 5 exterior colour elements, roof decals, alloy choices and multitude of colour and trim options for the interior.

The new 2013 Renault Clio 4 goes on sale in November with first customer cars arriving in February 2013.
