2013 SRT Viper price and option breakdown
Mon, 01 Oct 2012
While the 2013 SRT Viper has a base sticker price less than $100,000, that's just the starting point.
So here is a breakdown of the SRT Viper options and pricing. We've got paint, wheels, audio, interior, track, grand-touring and the limited number Launch Edition packages for you to consider.
A word of warning: None of this is cheap.
A base 2013 SRT Viper will cost $99,390, which does not include the “to be determined” gas-guzzler tax.
For those looking to get the SRT Viper GTS, you'll throw down $122,390, also sans gas-guzzler tax.
Both include the $1,995 destination fee.
Paint Colors
Each SRT Viper gets manually prepped and painted, including sanding and polishing.
There are six colors available—some old and some new. Three do not cost extra: Adrenaline red, Venom black and Bright white.
For an additional $1,000, you can choose Gunmetal pearl, Race yellow and Shadow-blue pearl. GTS models have additional choices with Stryker red Tinted pearl and GTS blue—prices for those hues have yet to be announced.
Racing Stripes
But what is an SRT Viper without racing stripes? For starters, it's $4,500 cheaper without them. But for those craving the heritage look of the previous Vipers, stripes are still available.
You can order the lines in Billet silver, Black venom or Gunmetal for $4,500.
SRT Viper GTS models get the same color options for $5,000. Bright-white stripes will only be available with the exclusive Launch Edition package—more on that later.
Wheel options
There are eight wheel choices in three different finishes for buyers to select.
Standard equipment includes the five-spoke Rattler wheel in a polished finish, a $500 option for GTS buyers.
Covering it in Hyper black or Matte black will add $1,100 for both standard and GTS cars.
Next up is the six-spoke Venom wheel, which is not available for the standard SRT Viper. The polished wheel is standard for the Viper GTS. Hyper black or Matte black will add $1,100.
The multi-spoke Sidewinder II wheel, only available with the purchase of the Track package, comes in two choices—Hyper black, which is included, or Matte black, for an additional $500.
Audio Equipment
A nine-speaker sound system comes in each SRT Viper, but for those looking to upgrade, 12- or 18-speaker Harman/Kardon systems are available.
The jump from nine to 12 speakers will cost $1,995 for the base Viper (the 12-speaker setup is standard on the GTS Viper. The 18-speaker setup adds $2,995 to the base Viper and $1,000 to the GTS.
Sabelt Sport Seats
For all SRT Viper buyers, Sabelt sport seats are standard equipment, coming wrapped in black ballistic nylon.
For $3,000, buyers of the base Viper can get napa leather with Alcantara inserts, which can be had in black, red (not available with yellow exterior) or caramel. This is standard on the GTS.
The GTS Laguna interior package—exclusive for the GTS—matches the interior completely. A price for this package hasn't been announced.
GTS Laguna Interior Package
This trim gives the interior more leather, either in black or Sepia, as well as embossments in the door bolsters, seats and storage bag and an Alcantara headliner. This is not available for the base SRT Viper and is a $7,500 option for the GTS.
Track Package
If you plan on hitting the track with your new SRT Viper, the Track package is for you.
For $3,500, buyers will get slotted two-piece lightweight rotors from StopTech, lightweight Sidewinder II wheels in Hyper black—Matte black for an additional $500—and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
When it's all said and done, the Track package will cut 57 pounds from the car's curb weight.
Grand Touring Package
For those looking to add more technology to their SRT Viper, the $2,500 Grand Touring package adds a navigation unit, one-step voice-destination entry, Bluetooth, satellite and HD radio. You'll also get live traffic updates, streaming Internet radio and downloadable applications. There is also a backup camera, premium floor mats and a cupholder. This is standard equipment on the Viper GTS.
SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition Package
Finally, there is the Launch Edition package.
This all-encompassing package touches both inside and outside of the new Viper.
Buyers will get the exclusive combination of bright-white stripes on the GTS blue paint job.
The interior has the Laguna Interior package, as well as the 18-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system and polished five-spoke Rattler wheels.
Buyers also get a matching white-on-blue dust cover, which features the car's build number, as well as individually numbered plaque on the passenger side of the instrument panel.
The premium for owning one of the 150 limited Launch Edition GTS Vipers? An additional $15,500 on the sticker, putting a GTS Viper with the Launch Edition package at $137,890.
Customer orders will start in mid-November through Viper-certified dealerships, with the first deliveries scheduled for December. Interested buyers should contact their local dealer to determine if it is an authorized SRT Viper dealer.
