2013 Toyota Auris: Price from £14,495

The new Toyota Auris is heading for a debut at Paris 2012 and Toyota has now revealed prie and specification ahead of its reval.

Starting point will be £14,495 and there will be four trim grades - Active, Icon, Sport and Excel – as well as two petrol engines – 1.33 Dual VVT-i and 1.6 litre Valvematic – a single 1.4 litre D-4D diesel and a hybrid, with the diesel and petrols getting a six-speed manual ‘box and Toyota’s Multidrive S CVT an option on the 1.6 petrol. The Auris hybrid gets the E-CVT automatic.

The basic trim level, Active, is only available with the diesel and 1.33 petrol and offers Climate, electric front windows, electric and heated door mirrors and USB/AUX connection. Move up to the Icon trim and you can add 16″ alloys, DAB, Toyota Touch multimedia screen, Bluetooth, rear view camera, electric windows and push button start (well, on the hybrid at least).

Sport adds 17″ alloys, sports seats and sports grill, rear diffuser and privacy glass with the range-topping Excel getting velour and leather upholstery, dual zone Climate, Keyless, Park Assist, Cruise, auto lights and wipers and privacy glass.

Starting point is £14,495 for the 1.33 Dual VVT-i Active rising to £21,745 for the Hybrid Auris.
