2013 Toyota RAV4 teased (video)

Toyota is teasing the 2013 RAV4 ahead of a debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month and an on sales spring 2013.

The Toyota RAV4 is a solid and reliable compact SUV, but it’s starting to struggle as the rest of the car world ups its came in the sector. So a new RAV4 is needed.

That new Toyota RAV4 is due to bow in at the Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of November, and promises to be a slicker version of the current RAV4 with the usual combination of better looks, more power, better economy and more room.

Ahead of that reveal, Toyota are teasing the new RAV4 and are busy telling us that it is “A new generation rewriting the rules in style” and that it has a “Dynamism that adapts to the changing pace of life”. So now you know.

Whether all that flowery prose translates in to a really dynamic compact SUV that can take on pretenders to its throne like the Kia Sportage, Hyundai ix35 and new Ford Kuga remains to be seen, but we’ll probably find out at some point before the new RAV4 actually appears in the flesh at L.S.

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 will be on sale in the UK by spring 2013.
