2013 Toyota Yaris Trend launches from £14,570 & new Yaris Appearance Packs
Tue, 08 Jan 2013The 2013 Toyota Yaris Trend has been launched with styling tweaks and the Yaris TR and SR get new Appearance Packs.
Toyota are aiming the Yaris Tend at ‘younger, design-conscious consumers’, so they’ve been busy giving the Trend a tweak or three to make it more appealing to their target demographic.
That means keeping the chrome bits round the nose from the previous Yaris Trend, with versions optioned in white getting matching covers in the headlamp units, chrome door sills and mirrors and blacked-out B and C Pillars for a ‘floating roof’ effect.
There’s a set of 16″ alloys with two-tone finish, the LED lamp clusters from the Yaris Hybrid and a spoiler, with a choice of Pure White, Tyrol Silver, Burning Red and Decuma Grey paint jobs.
Inside, the Yaris Trend gets a black and white theme with the dash and upper panels finished in white and the geometry of the centre console gets changed and a shorter gear lever with a white insert arrives.
The seats on the new Yaris Trend get faux leather sides in white with ochre stitching and the centre cloth is softer with grey piping to match the grey seat belts.
But it’s not just the Yaris Tend that’s had a tweak, the Yaris TR and Yaris SR get new appearance packs too, with 15″ Podium alloys, privacy glass and black rear pillar decal on the TR, with the SR getting 16″ two-tone alloys and the black rear decal (it already has privacy glass). The Appearance Packs cost £250.
Nothing major for the 2013 Toyota Yaris – just enough for those who bought the 2012 version to feel peeved – and prices stay the same as last year’s Yaris Trend – £14,750 for the 5 door Trend with the 1.33 Dual VVT-i petrol engine and manual ‘box and £15,570 if you want the Multidrive S ‘box.
