2014 Acura TSX starts at $31,530

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

The sporty Acura TSX and TSX Sport Wagon return for 2014 with minor changes. The base TSX with a 201-hp I4 comes with a five-speed automatic transmission for $31,530, including destination. That’s a $125 bump from last year.

Standard features include xenon headlights, moonroof, 17-inch wheels and leather seats with eight-way adjustment.

The Special Edition, which is offered with an automatic or a six-speed manual transmission, comes in at $32,530. The SE gets an ebony interior with red stitching, red instrumentation and a few other upgrades. Sporty front, side and rear spoilers are also installed.

Upgrading to the 280-hp V6 costs about $9,000 more than the base model, unfortunately that engine isn’t offered with a stick shift.

The TSX Sport Wagon, one of the few small grocery getters still around, has a base price of $32,880 and offers 66.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded down, and 31.5 feet when up.

The Technology Package adds an LED backlit navigation screen, rearview camera, Song By Voice (SBV) user interface, and the ability to download 15 gigabytes of personal music to the TSX's hard disk drive. A premium 10-speaker sound system is also included for a package price of about $3,000.

The TSX gets a suite of safety features such as vehicle stability assist with traction control, ABS, airbags all around, front seatbelts with automatic tensioning system and load limiters, tire pressure monitor and daytime running lights.

For comparison, the 2.5-liter, five-cylinder-equipped Volvo S60 starts at $32,795 while the four-cylinder Mercedes-Benz CLA has a base price of $30,825. The 2014 TSX is on sale now.
