2014 Audi R8 priced at $119,150

The 2014 Audi R8 goes on sale Friday at the low, low price of $119,150 -- including destination and gas guzzler -- when equipped with the manual transmission. The S-Tronic-equipped version ups the price to $128,250.

The base Audi R8 makes 430 hp and 316 lb-ft of torque from its 4.2-liter V8. The coupe will sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, the Spyder V8 -- which costs $132,650 -- takes two ticks longer.

Stepping up to the R8 V10 will cost $155,450 for the manual and about nine grand more for the automatic. The 5.2-liter in that is good for 525 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. The V10 makes the sprint in 3.8 seconds; the Spyder does it in four flat.

The top model for 2014 is the R8 V10 Plus. It comes in at $174,795, including destination and gas guzzler. It gets a 25 hp bump for a total of 550 and 398 lb-ft of torque. It gets to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.

Top speed on the 2014 models range from 186 mph for the V8 Spyder to 198 mph for the V10 Plus.

Changes for 2014 include a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, larger shift paddles, new LED lights, available diamond-stitched leather, new wheel designs and a new matte blue paint scheme for the R8 V10 Plus only.

The top-of-the-line V10 Plus weighs 130 pounds less than the base V10 due to carbon-fiber side blades, front splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler. It also has a smaller fuel tank, manual seats and ceramic brakes.
