2014 Dodge Journey debuts Crossroad package
Fri, 31 Jan 2014
The Chicago Auto Show is coming next week and it's shaping up to be …well, pretty boring, if we're being honest. Besides the Chevy Reaper pickup and the BMW 740 diesel, there really isn't much to be excited about. But this is a business, and companies need to make news.
On an unrelated note, the 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad will make its debut in the Windy City. The trim, which is basically just an appearance upgrade, adds new front and rear bumpers, lower side sills, smoked head- and taillights and 19-inch black wheels.
The Crossroad sits between SXT and Limited trims in the Journey lineup. It will cost $25,990 when it hits dealerships this spring.
Inside, the Crossroad gets black leather with mesh inserts and gray accent stitching, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
Standard features include power-heated and foldaway mirrors, keyless entry and ignition and steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls.
Power continues to come from the same two engines: a 173-hp, 2.4-liter four, or a 283-hp V6. The four gets a four-speed transmission; the V6 gets a six-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is optional.
We'll see more of the Journey Crossroad in Chicago next week.
