2014 Ford F-150 STX now offers SuperCrew and all-new STX Sport Package

Ford has just made the SuperCrew bodystyle more affordable for buyers of the popular F-150 truck, with bodystyle now available on the base STX trim level for 2014. Previously, buyers had to select the XLT trim level to get the four-door versatility of the SuperCrew. The 2014 F-150 lineup will also offer an STX Sport Package.

The STX SuperCrew will feature the 302 hp 3.7-liter V6 engine as standard. In with rear-wheel drive configuration, it will retail for $34,240. The 4x4 STX SuperCrew with a a 5.0 liter V8 making 360 horsepower will start at $38,665. The F-150 will also be available with a compressed natural gas pre-installation package, an option we told you about a few weeks ago.

Many of the options available of the XLT SuperCrew will be offered on the STX SuperCrew. The STX trim will offer AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, 17-inch wheels, cruise control, and a 40/20/40 premium cloth bench seat for the front row. The STX will also feature MyKey, which allows fleet owners to limit the top speed and audio volume setting in their trucks, and set speed-alert chimes to remind drivers to drive safely. Pricing information hasn't been released for the different bed lengths on the STX SuperCrew trim, but it wouldn't surprise us if it will be similar to the bed pricing on the XLT trim, which offers 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, and 8-foot beds.

Adding the Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew and the new STX Sport Package to our 2014 lineup gives these truck shoppers more value-oriented F-150 models to consider,” explained Doug Scott, marketing manager of Ford Truck Group.

The STX Sport Package is all new for the 2014 F-150, and will be available on all cab configurations. The STX Sport Package includes a black billet grille with body-color surround trim, 20-inch machined aluminum painted wheels with P275/55R20 tires, and black tubular running boards. That's not all, as the STX Sport Package will also get black and gray piston cloth front seats, and color-coordinated carpets, in addition to unique box decals.
