2014 Toyota Land Cruiser facelift details – costs from £34,995

The Land Cruiser can’t really offer car-like handling, but it has upped the stakes in the other departments with the arrival of a facelift for 2014.

The 2014 Land Cruiser gets a new nose – the de rigueur facelift option – new headlights and running lights, new grill and bumper and round the back some new lights, all set-off by new alloys.

Inside Toyopta has give the Land Cruiser a new set of switches for the drive modes, a new speedo and rev counter, a 4.2″ TFT screen, new wood and aluminium finishes and upgraded leather.

It all works to give the Land Cruiser a bit more showroom appeal, and new trim levels - Active, Icon and Invincible – that offer decent specs from the off.

Those specs include 17″ alloys, electric windows, Climate, rear view camera, Bluetooth, Cruise, Hill Start and keyless even on the entry-level Active, with the Icon (from £47,495) adding 18″ alloys, Leather, powered heated front seats, power third row seats, folding mirrors, auto lights and wipers, parking sensors and more.

Opt for the range-topping Invincible trim level (from £52,495) and you can add in stuff like rear electric suspension & Adaptive Variable Suspension, Multi-terrain monitor with four cameras, Rear Entertainment, 2nd row heated seats, Sunroof and Crawl Control.

The new Land Cruiser also gets the latest Toyota Touch 2 System with a new screen offering drag and swipe controls (just like a smartphone), Tom Tom real time traffic alerts and Google Street View.

Extra options include the Safety Pack (cruise with pre-crash and more) at £13,60, Off-Road Pack (the stuff the Invincible gets as standard) for £1,650 and two tone leather (a no-cost option).

The 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser facelift is now on sale with first deliveries due in the UK in December.
