2014 Vauxhall Corsa & Vauxhall Adam: URGENT recall – DO NOT DRIVE
Sat, 27 Sep 20142014 Vauxhall Corsa & Vauxhall Adam: URGENT recall
Have you bought a Vauxhall Adam or Vauxhall Corsa since May? Then Vauxhall need to hear from you – urgently. In fact, the recall is so urgent that Vauxhall are advising those whose cars are affected not to drive it. Vauxhall has identified a steering system in the Adam and Corsa that falls below the quality control standard, with a total of around 3,000 cars affected.
The advice from Vauxhall is that any affected cars “should not be driven prior to an inspection”, so we’re assuming that if your car is one of the rogue batch that Vauxhall will come and get it to do the required inspection.
If you think your car may be affected – remember, it’s for Corsas and Adams from May 2014 – then you can call Vauxhall Customer Assistance on 0800 026 0034 between 9am and 5.30pm to get information.
Alternatively, Vauxhall has set up an Adam and Corsa recall check which will tell you if your VIN number is one of the affected batch. For reference, the affected VIN number are:
VIN Number (last 8 digits) between E6077301 – E6113446 or F6000001 – F6006544
VIN Number (last 8 digits) between E6071016 – E6118738 or E4181031 – E4308122
If you have any doubts, please make sure you check your VIN or call Vauxhall.
