2015 Audi TT, TTS Coupe and Roadster revealed

The 2015 Audi TT and TTS Coupe and Roadster models debuted on Friday with a new optional competition package, optional carbon package and new standard features. Power will continue to come from two variations the company’s high-strung 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged and direct injected engine. The TT RS will no longer be offered.
The TT first appeared as a concept car at the 1995 Frankfurt motor show. The fluid shape was penned by J Mays and Freeman Thomas, with help from handful of others, including current Kia designer Peter Schreyer.
The latest TT gets Xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights, an adaptive rear spoiler and a roll bar. TTS models have optional adaptive headlights, which aim towards a turn when the wheels point in either direction.
The competition package includes either imola yellow or nimbus gray paint, a fixed rear spoiler, five-spoke wheels with a silver finish, leather seats with yellow accents and contrast stitching.
Both the TT and TTS also get a flat-bottom steering wheel and power heated front seats. A Bose sound system is optional, as is navigation with Audi’s rear parking system.
Output in the TT is rated at 211 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque from the turbo four, which combines Audi’s valvelift system and variable valve timing. The sprint from 0-60 mph takes 5.3 seconds, with power going through Audi’s Quatto all-wheel drive system. The upgraded TTS models deliver 265 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque (couldn’t squeeze more twist out of the TTS?), and the 60 mph sprint takes just 5.1 seconds. All models get Audi’s six-speed dual-clutch transmission. (Wait, what? No manual?—ED.)
The TTS Coupe and Roadster get Audi’s magnetic ride shocks, which can stiffen or slacken as the roads demand.
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but last year’s TT Coupe started at $40,795, and the Roadster came in at $43,795. We expect the 2015 to be close to that, probably a little more expensive.
