2015 Nissan Versa to debut at New York auto show
Fri, 11 Apr 2014
Nissan revealed the first images of the 2015 Versa sedan on April 11. The car goes on sale next week after its debut at the New York auto show for the seriously low price of $12,800 including destination. Improvements include new front and rear fascias, interior upgrades and new packaging content.
The visual changes revolve around the front and rear, which get larger lights, more chrome plating, new fog light design and new side mirrors for SV and SL trims.
Inside, the Nissan got rid of the orange LED display and replaced it with white. It also ditches its old steering wheel for a more substantial-feeling unit. The 2015 model year brings refinements to the center stack as well. Bluetooth comes standard. The NissanConnect infotainment system continues with a 5.8-inch color touchscreen.
Output is the same as last year from a 1.6-liter engine with either a five-speed manual, four-speed auto or CVT. Output is rated at 109 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is rated at 31 mpg city, 40 highway with the CVT.
Trim lines remain the same. The Versa portfolio starts with the S model, which gets the manual or automatic. Upgraded S plus, SV and SL models come standard with the CVT.
The 2015 Nissan Versa sedan is making its North American debut in New York next week.
