Alfa Romeo 4C concept
Tue, 08 Mar 2011Following the limited production run of the 8C super car, Alfa Romeo unveiled its new sports car at the Geneva motor show – the 4C.
The compact, lightweight and mid-engined sports car is a departure from anything Alfa Romeo is producing at the moment. Taking influence from the 8C's strongest attributes, it also mixes in a new design language for the Italian brand.
Sporting more than a passing resemblance to the Lotus Elise, the small Alfa utilizes a carbon fiber tub chassis, with rumors suggesting platform sharing with Hemel Hempstead's finest, or even the KTM X-Bow. The low curb weight (circa 800kg) and compact dimensions of the car are combined with a two-liter turbo charged engine to give a strong emphasis on driver involvement and pleasure.
