Aston Martin DBS Ultimate revealed
Wed, 09 May 2012Aston Martin DBS Ultimate
The Aston Martin DBS Ultimate has been revealed on Aston’s website ahead of any official information on the run-out DBS.
We’ve been expecting the Aston Martin DBS Ultimate to emerge from the AML’s PR towers at Gaydon for a week or two now, and it has. But in a slightly odd way.
Normally we’ll get information on a new car in an email from the car maker in question; sometimes ready to go, sometimes embargoed until they want us to publish.
But the DBS Ultimate hasn’t arrived from Aston Martin this morning, so we don’t have lots of information and drool-worthy photos. All we have is what Aston Martin has put up on their website overnight – which is not a lot, at least not image wise.
So we don’t yet know how many Ultimate Editions there will be (although we expect 100) and nor do we know what Aston Martin want for each of their DBS Ultimates (but expect circa £200k).
What we do know is that you’ll be able to order the Ultimate as a Coupe or Volante, that you can have a manual or auto ‘box, Silver Fox, Quantum Silver or Carbon black for the paint job and black diamond turned alloys.
There’s also some carbon fibre detailing for the wing mirror caps and lamp in-fills, whilst the rear lamps are smoked, the calipers come in a choice of black, red or yellow and there’s a ‘DBS Ultimate’ badge with red in-fill.
Inside the DBS Ultimate gets Obsidian Black leather – quilted on the seats and doors – Alcantara headlining (which also gets quilted), more DBS Ultimate badging including a headrest embroidered version, red leather inserts for the gear paddle and a carbon fibre facia.
And as soon as Aston Martin remembers to send out a press release with prices, numbers and pretty pictures of the DBS Ultimate, we’ll let you know.
