Aston Martin DBS Volante – up to £60k off as AM struggle to shift stock
Tue, 30 Oct 2012The Aston Martin DBS Volante can now be had new for £60k off list as AML struggle to shift stock with the new Vanquish replacing the DBS.
The first believes that Aston Martin has reinvented its range of cars with every update over the last decade – just as Porsche has with the 911. The other, perhaps the most prevalent, is that every Aston Martin we have now is a work of art, but basically the same car it was a decade ago.
If you fall in to the second camp – which most do – and you’re in the market for a powerful, luxury convertible, then we have good news: the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition Volante can now be had for under £130,000, more than £60k off list price.
The news that Aston Martin still has a fair few DBS models left – coupe and Volante – means there are real bargains to be bagged, especially as any Volante version of the new Vanquish is at least a year away; at £130k (and less) you could almost run your new DBS Volante for a year for free.
What also cropped up in our Aston Martin dealer discussions was that the new Vanquish is perhaps not in quite as much demand as you might think. We managed to get £10k off a new one without really trying, and that’s not a car sometime next year, but delivered in quick sticks.
With Aston Martin discounting old stock so massively – and new stock of a new model by a sizeable chunk – we’re off to trawl round other high-end dealers to see what else we can turn up.
