Yet another China Special, this time from Aston Martin with ‘Dragon 88? special editions of the DBS Volante, Virage Coupe and V8 Vantage S Coupe.

It seems this year is the year of the ‘Special Edition for China’, with Aston Martin offering up the Dragon 88 Limited Edition at the Beijing Motor Show.

As you would expect, the Dragon 88 specials major on red and gold and dragons (you’d never have guessed) and Aston Martin will be building 88 cars. You have a choice of models,  the DBS Volante, Virage coupe and V8 Vantage S coupe, and three colours - Red Amethyst, Volcano Red or Champagne Gold.

The colours -  Amethyst Red symbolizes wealth, peace, protection and intuition; Volcano Red  represent the fire of the dragon and Champagne Gold illustrates the dragon’s status and prestige, wealth and fortune – are complemented by interiors in Spicy Red, Deep Purple and Chancellor Red with Sahara Tan thread, Piano Black trim, gold inlays and a headrest embroidery design inspired by Beijing’s Nine-Dragon Wall.

Exterior adornments for the Dragon 88 Series includes a 24-carat gold badge on the bonnet and boot fo the cars, bright finish grill, bonnet mesh and side strakes and a set of silver alloys with unique 10-spoke designs and black brake callipers.

Customers for the Dragon 88 cars also get a Presentation box containing Owner’s Guide with gold detailing, two glass ECUs and a pair of customised Bang & Olufsen earphones, laser-etched with the Aston Martin wings and presented in a leather pouch.

We have no idea on how much Aston Martin want for the Dragon 88 cars, but it will be significant.
