Audi and VW tuner ABT Sportsline to show Audi AS6 sedan at SEMA
Fri, 25 Oct 2013
ABT Sportsline well-known in Europe for tuning Audis and other Volkswagen Group brands, working on everything from SEATs to Škodas, though few outside the Audi community in the U.S. are aware of their tuning and DTM racing efforts. To get the U.S. Audi community primed for its arrival, ABT will be showing its Audi AS6 sedan at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas.
The AS6 sedan that ABT will be exhibiting at SEMA, based on the Audi A6 sedan, has been tweaked inside and out, with its 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 engine having received a 41 hp bump in power, up to 286 hp. While that may seem like a relatively modest improvement, ABT has managed to increase the torque output from 369 lb-ft up to 500 lb-ft. The suspension in the AS6 sedan has also received attention, as ABT has swapped in its own springs. ABT's own front and rear spoilers in addition to side and rear skirts complete the look, with the AS6 sedan also receiving ABT's ER-C 20-inch wheels.

ABT Sportsline will be opening up a location in the Los Angeles area soon for the U.S. market.
ABT will not only be exhibiting its wares at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas, but just two weeks after the event it will launch its own U.S. subsidiary in Cerritos/Los Angeles.
