Autodesk Alias Scan Surfacing webinar takes place on 8 October

Autodesk has announced its latest webinar, which looks at the firm's Alias Scan Surfacing and Quick Surfacing software. The 45-minute webinar will take place on 8 October, and begins at 8am PDT in Los Angeles and 11am EDT in Detroit, which is 16:00 GMT in London and 17:00 CET in Munich. A 15-minute Q&A will follow the presentation.

In addition to looking at traditional scan data workflows, the webinar will look at improvements in Autodesk's software that allow more effective creation of surfaces from scan data, including:

Introduction to scan data reading scan data, different types of sources Positioning meshes setting a scan into an existing Alias scene Adjusting meshes cutting, cleaning, edging a mesh and hole filling Curves creating curves and surfaces from the curves

The webinar will be presented by Alias and VRED software technical marketing manager, Rex Sellentine. Over the last 20 years, he has been focused on helping companies within the automotive sector implement highly complex software in the fields of industrial design and visualization.
