Bentley Mulsanne Executive Interior concept
Tue, 13 Sep 2011Bentley is using its Mulsanne flagship to showcase a new Executive Interior concept, highlighting multimedia connectivity at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. The new concept offers an impressive array of bespoke business, comfort and entertainment features designed to conduct business on the move.
Renowned for its painstaking attention to detail, the hand-crafted Mulsanne cabin already takes Bentley's craftsmen and women over 170 hours to create. With the addition of a yachting-style veneer that blends light and dark contrasting tones, the interior concept aims to offer the brand's customers even more exquisite refinements.
Rear seat passengers have two electrically-powered, foldable wood veneer picnic tables, each fitted with an iPad and Bluetooth keyboards, while the roof console features a 15.6-inch high-definition LED dropdown monitor, so users can either watch TV, or videos from the vehicle's DVD changer or the Mac Mini stored in the trunk.
The illuminated rear center console houses an iPod (which serves as the system's control panel) as well as a Tibaldi fountain pen from its specially-commissioned Collection, which is designed to mirror the Mulsanne's knurled-metal rotary switchgear and is discreetly stowed in the center armrest.
A bespoke, illuminated bottle cooler with double-glazed frosted glass door also features in the rear console – along with two cupholders, a tissue box and a large stowage area – while control keys operate picnic tables, reading lights and control the high-definition LED screen. Additional, multi-directional reading lights are provided for each rear passenger and can be operated with Apple devices.
