Brabus tunes the M-class

German go-fast tuner Brabus has revealed an updated Mercedes-Benz M-class tuning kit, including a wide body, custom wheels and suspension and engine modifications across the line.
The Widestar kit for the ML includes new fender flares and rocker panels, giving it a low, menacing stance. The rear bumper integrates the exhaust tips, and a new front spoiler adds four auxiliary daytime running lights.
Brabus offers three-piece Monoblock E wheels designed specifically for the Widestar kit. The lightweight wheels measure 23 inches and are fitted with high-performance 315/25R-23 tires front and rear.
But the best part is the magic Brabus saves for under the hood.
For the diesel-powered ML320, Brabus ups output to 272 hp and an enormous 435 lb-ft of torque. The power on the ML350 is bolstered to 287 hp.
For the big daddy, the ML63, Brabus uses its B63 S power kit, giving it 550 hp. That pushes the truck to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 172 mph.
All of that speed and bodywork is icing on the cake for the ML. Brabus offers 12-piston brakes for the front and six-piston setups for the rear. The Airmatic suspension is improved with a new control module, and the vehicle also can get lots of carbon-fiber bits and trim pieces for the inside.
For tech-savvy buyers, Brabus can install seven-inch LCD screens in the headrests and a DVD player.
The full Widestar Kit from Brabus costs $19,752. Wheels range from $3,248 to $1,312. The sports suspension packages for the truck start at $517, and Brabus engine packages can go as high as $38,426.
