Calling All Original Mustang Owners
Thu, 07 Nov 2013
If you've had your 1964 Mustang under your name and in your possession since it was new (i.e. all 49 years) then let Kathy Miller know. So far she's found 11 people who have had their 'Stangs all 49 years. She found 10 more who inherited their cars from their parents. Now, as the original pony car approaches its 50th anniversary, Miller is looking for more.
“We'd really like to get them together and do something special,” she said.
Miller has a profound love of the pony cars, especially single-owner examples. We met Miller as she was working her way through the press room at SEMA handing out business cards seeking original owners. She has been a Mustang enthusiast since she got a Prairie Bronze Coupe — with no radio, power steering, power brakes or air conditioning — as a high school graduation gift.
“My mom bought me a watch but my dad bought me a Mustang,” she says on her website dedicated to the cause.
If you know any original owners, have them contact Miller at originalowner@me.com.
