Carroll Shelby, Felt Bicycles collaborate on beach cruiser

Felt Bicycles, a maker of competition bikes, and our favorite Mustang tuner, Carroll Shelby, have collaborated on a custom cruiser bike that pays homage to the classic Shelby GT350. The Shelby Cruiser will be limited in production but available worldwide for a price of $999.
Designers from Felt worked with the Shelby team during every step of the process. Inspiration came from Shelby's racing heritage in developing the graphics. The bike is painted in Wimbledon White and Guardsman Blue, classic Shelby colors.
This bike will let Shelby enthusiasts take on a whole new terrain, according to the company.
"The team at Felt understands the passion that drives many Shelby enthusiasts, which is similar to the spirit of competition in many Felt bike owners," said Tracey Smith, vice president of Carroll Shelby Licensing. "Now enthusiasts can take their love of Shelbys to the bike trials, streets and beach boardwalks."
The bike is built on Felt's hydroformed aluminum tank frame and fitted with high-performance, three-speed Nexus internal gearing. The bike sits on 36-spoke wheels wrapped with balanced blue dot tires, evoking the original Goodyears that came on Shelby. Felt also uses a proprietary springer fork that allows for precise handling.
Each bike is individually numbered and will be available through Felt retailers later this month.
