Chery TX Concept
Fri, 18 May 2012The Chery TX concept was unveiled at last month's Beijing auto show and showed significant progress in comparison to past Chery-designed vehicles. The brief for the concept was to be a ‘target-customer oriented SUV'.
The TX marks a new beginning for Chery as it explores its new distinctive design philosophy, ‘Shangshan Ruoshui‘ (water) that derives from the Chinese traditional philosophy, interpreted as the pursuit of harmony and unity between humans and nature. At the front, the chrome parts are integrated with the grille and logo together inserting into the sleek, concave surface, with two 3D LED headlamps as well as aluminum fog lights set lower at the front, conveying a sense of power and aggression. The side feature lines stretch from back to front, and are simple yet showing the car's strength. the surfacing is particularly sophisticated in its execution.
Inside, the ‘water' theme continues throughout features such as the air vents, steering wheel and center console.
