Chevrolet Colorado Rally concept
Fri, 17 Jun 2011Chevrolet has announced the second concept that previews the brand's next generation of pickups ahead of its official unveiling at the 5th Buenos Aires Auto Show.
Following on from the Colorado concept shown in Bangkok, the Colorado Rally truck takes the basic premise of the first Colorado concept and adds a dose of aggression, with the vehicle gaining increased ride height, chunkier tires and a more prominent under body. Integrated winches, front and rear, convey the truck's off road abilities.
Developed by the GM Design Center in South America, the concept truck has been adorned with ventilated acrylic windows - for improved air flow in the cabin as well as crash protection - a pearl white and charcoal paint scheme and stylized running boards and filler cap.
Inside the Colorado Rally is said to be ‘a separate show', focusing on ergonomics and functionality. The IP has been redesigned to incorporate tools required in a ‘race car' and is finished in textured leather, whilst the center console now houses an array of dials and gauges relaying a variety of information to the driver.
