Chevrolet Trax revealed ahead of Paris Motor Show debut
Mon, 13 Aug 2012The Chevrolet Trax – the Chevrolet take on the Vauxhall Mokka – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.
We reported a few months ago that we could expect the Chevrolet Trax at the Paris Motor Show, but ahead of that reveal Chevrolet has sent us some photos of the Trax and a few details.
Effectively the Chevrolet take on the Opel and Vauxhall Mokka (and, for that matter, the Buick Encore), the Trax gets a a Chevy makeover for the front and back and the required rebadging.
Engines on offer will include a 13bhp 1.6 litre petrol, a 1.4 litre turbo petrol and a 1.7 litre diesel engine that produces 129bhp and a decent 221lb/ft of torque. Opt for a manual ‘box and you’ll also get stop-start to help with economy and emissions.
As well as the standard manual ‘box with stop-start you will be able to opt for an auto box on the 1.4 litre turbo and 1.7 litre diesel and add 4WD if you need to do boot sales as well as the school run.
We have no prices yet for the Chevrolet Trax, but with plans for it to go on sale before the end of 2012 we should have soon.
