Chip Foose returns to Disney's Car Masters Weekend
Wed, 12 Jun 2013Automotive designer Chip Foose will return to this year's Car Masters Weekend at Downtown Disney on 15-16 June.
Foose, who is also a hot rod shop owner, fabricator and star of the reality TV series Overhaulin' on Velocity, has created pieces of original artwork featuring landmarks from Walt Disney World Resort, finished in his signature marker style.
Works by Foose were put on display last year in Disney California Adventure's Car's Land attraction.
The Car Masters Weekend is dedicated to the automotive world, including Disney Pixar's film Cars, and includes a car show featuring over 150 vehicles.
Some of Foose's works will be available to buy along with deluxe prints and clothing, while the image of the fire engine in front of Cinderella Castle will be transformed into a license plate and 25 limited edition D-Tech On Demand cases for the iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5.
Fans can pick these up at D-Street and at the Disney Truck Shop in Downtown Disney West Side. Foose will be making an appearance at D-Street on 15-16 from 11am to 2pm, while those who buy one of the items will receive a wristband to meet him later that day. Queues will start at 10:30am in front of D-Street.
Foose was also commissioned for the first Cars film by director John Lasseter to design Ramon, the 1959 Chevy, and his Ramon designs can still be seen throughout Cars Land.
