Chrysler adds sporty S trim features to the 200 sedan and convertible
Tue, 19 Apr 2011Chrysler is looking to add a little sport to the Chrysler 200 sedan and convertible with the addition of the S trim line.
Don't expect anything too extreme--the S package consists of some interior and exterior upgrades, and a few suspension revisions.
Changes include unique 18-inch wheels with painted black pockets, a grille with an S model-only winged badge and black background headlights.
Inside, the 200 S sedan and convertible will get a perforated leather steering wheel, heated front leather seats with an embroidered S on the headrests and silver accent thread. All S models will come with a Boston Acoustics sound system with a 276-watt CD/DVD/MP3 player with a 30-gigabyte hard drive.
The Chrysler 200 S sedan and convertible use the 283-hp, 3.6-liter engine and six-speed automatic transmission shared with the rest of the 200 lineup.
The Chrysler 200 S has a sticker price starting at $26,790, including destination charges. The sedan is available for order now, with deliveries expected to begin this summer. The convertible has a sticker price of $32,490 and should begin arriving at dealerships later this spring.
