Chrysler marks 25 years of minivans with special edition

Over at Chrysler, we suppose any good news is worth celebrating, and the production of more than 12 million minivans during the past 25 years is certainly noteworthy. To mark the occasion, Chrysler is introducing the 25th Anniversary Editions of the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan.

Both models will feature new interior color combinations, trims, Stow 'n Go seating, UConnect stereo interface and second- and third-row heated seats. Town & Country models add a standard second- and third-row DVD entertainment system.

For the exterior, the Anniversary Edition will feature special badges and the availability of exclusive paint colors and wheel designs.

Grand Caravans hold an advantage in the standard powertrain department with the 4.0-liter V6 with 251 hp, while the Town & Country features the smaller 3.8-liter V6 with 197 hp.

The Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan 25th Anniversary Edition models are available now. Base pricing is $34,180 for the Chrysler and $31,995 for the Dodge.
