The Citroen C1 has been around for some time, and it’s getting towards the end of its shelf life. But the C1 is still a great little city car – far better than you’d expect – and makes much more sense on any level than an overpriced EV for running round urban areas. And Citroen have now improved the C1 for 2014.
Trim levels have changed and you’ll now have the option of VT, Edition and Platinum levels, with the entry-level VT trim offering very cost-effective motoring from just £8,095.
Opt for a few more goodies and the new Edition trim (which replaces the old VTR) will throw in 14″ alloys and leather steering wheel and gear knob as well as AirCon, Rev Counter, front electric windows and body coloured mirrors.
But the new C1 Platinum (which replaces the VTR+) goes a chunk further, offering a new ‘Look Pack’ which includes a Carlinite Grey roof and rear spoiler, Agrume Red or Lipizzan White paintwork, Bluetooth and USB, Privacy glass, shiny black interior trim and front fogs.
Engine choice is still Hoson’s with the 1.0 litre 3-cylinder petrol with 67bhp.
