Citroen C4 Aircross revealed – a day after the first Aircross tease
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Citroen C4 Aircross
That didn’t take long, did it? We thought we were in for the long haul of another daft tease from a car maker after we got the first tease shot of the Citroen C4 Aircross yesterday. But today the C4 Aircross gets revealed. Our kind of tease.
As expected – although we did throw a few alternative possibilities in to the mix yesterday – the Citroen C4 Aircross is a rufty-tufty version of the Citroen C4 – a compact SUV C4, if you like.
Interestingly, the C4 Aircross is 4340mm long, 1800mm wide and 1630mm high. Which is very similar to the dimensions of the Mitsubishi ASX – 4295mm long, 1770mm wide and 1650 high – which probably means there’s a lot of Mitsubishi ASX going on under the skin.
The C4 Aircross will come with the option of 2WD or 4WD, with the 1.6i 114bhp petrol available only as 2WD with a five-speed manual ‘box. There’s also 1.6 litre (110bhp) and 1.8 litre (150bhp) diesels in the mix which come with a six-speed manual box.
Up front there’s a butch-looking nose and a set of upright LEDs that look as though they’ve come via the DS3. There’s a big panoramic roof on offer and a decent set of kit including SatNav, reversing camera, Bluetooth and 18″ alloys. Alloys that look like they’ve come straight off the Hypnos Concept.
More details when we get them.
